My determination to go to BOH’s Sungai Palas Tea Centre was set the day I saw the photo of its cafe building jutting out over the hill in a newspaper article. The rectangle-shaped cafe is beautiful in its simplicity. The best seats are of course at the balcony, but even sitting inside, one can enjoy unparalleled view of the surroundings because of the glass windows. The horizontal and vertical bars of the windows combine to make it look as though the wall is plastered with paintings.
Besides the cafe, there is a gallery giving information about the history of BOH Plantations and Cameron Highlands, and also a video room. Those who are interested in knowing more about the tea process can join the free tea factory tour as well.
